Library
Cards
Library cards are free to all Maywood Residents who present one proof
of address, i.e. Driver's License, DMV non-driver ID, utility bill, lease,
etc. Replacement of lost cards is $3.00. Cards are required to borrow
materials from the Maywood Library or any of the other 72 libraries in
the Bergen County Cooperative Library system. Patrons may request items
from other libraries through the BCCLS webpage <BCCLS>
or the library staff can initiate loans on site. Cards are also free and
available to anyone employed within the borough of Maywood who does not
reside in a BCCLS town.
Services
& Lending
Self service photocopying and computer printouts are available for 15
cents/page. The library staff will send, but not receive, faxes for fees
determined by the area code dialed and the number of pages. Overdue fines
are 10 cents/day for all materials except videotapes, DVDs, and CD-ROMs,
which are $1/day. New adult fiction, magazines, books on tape, and CD-ROMs
circulate for 14 days. Videotapes and DVDs circulate for two days unless
borrowed on Thursday or Friday, when they can be kept until the following
Monday. All other items are loaned for 28 days.

The library collection consists of 60,000 books, 7,000 audio-visual items,
and 75 periodical subscriptions.
