Monday
- Corrugated cardboard, brown paper picked up town-wide. Flatten all boxes
and bundle, do not place in plastic bags.
Tuesday
- Commingled glass, aluminum, grass, branches, bagged leaves. (East side)
Do not place in plastic bags.
Wednesday
- Commingled glass, aluminum, steel, foil, cans, plastics. (West side)
Do not place in plastic bags.
Thursday
- Newspaper, household paper. (East side) Do not place in plastic bags.
Friday
- Newspaper, household paper. (West side) Do not place in plastic bags.
There

Textiles
- Place in receptacles at DPW Borough parking
lot on Spencer Joseph Way. No pillows, mattresses, or carpets.
Hazardous
Waste, Paints
- Call Bergen County Utilities Authority <BCUA.org>
at (201) 807-5825 for information. Do not bring hazardous waste or paints
to the DPW.
Household
Batteries
- Bring to the DPW, Monday through Friday, between 8:30am
and 3:30pm. Do not put batteries in garbage, as they will contaminate
ground water.
Motor
Oil, Tires
- Bring
to DPW, Monday through Friday, between 8:30am and 3:30pm. Do not leave
oil, it must be poured into tanks. Car tires only, there is a $2 disposal
fee per tire.
Computers,
Electronics
- Call Bergen County Utilities Authority <BCUA.org>
at (201) 807-5825 for information. Do not bring computers or electronics
to the DPW.
Appliances,
Metal Goods
- For appliances such as refrigerators/freezers, washers/dryers,
stoves, dishwashers, microwave ovens, air conditioners, etc. and metal
goods such as file cabinets, gas grilles, and other large metal items:
Remove doors from refrigerators Remove concrete from metal posts Pickup
stickers are available at Borough Hall (15 Park Avenue, 3rd Floor) for
a fee of $5/item. No item will be picked up without a green sticker. Pickup
is the first Wednesday of each month.
